What does runslikeclockwork.com server monitoring check for?
We check that both your server is responding and that the html served is as expected. This means that not only will you know when your server is down but also if a problematic virtual host has been configured causing the server to serve up the wrong site.
How often will my sites be checked
The frequency of checks depends on which plan you are on and range from every 2 minutes to every 30 seconds.
How many SMS credits can I use?
This depends on your plan which has a monthly free allowance. If you think you may use more than the allowance you can buy additional credits for £0.10 / €0.12 / $0.18 each. These additional credits will roll over to the next month. Free credits will not roll over.
How many locations do you monitor our servers from?
We check your sites from 2 different locations (Texas, USA and Manchester, UK) and will only let know know if your site becomes inaccessable from both of them. This prevents false alarms if one of the nodes has trouble connecting to your server.
What date do my free credits get added
Your free credits always get reset back to whatever your plan allowance is on the first day of each month.
How can I pay?
At the moment we just accept Paypal.
How can I cancel my account?
Just login to your Paypal account and cancel the subscription there. Your sites will automatically be set to inactive. If you would like us to close your account completely, please contact us.
Can I have a free trial before first
Sure, sign up for an account and select the Personal plan. Your first month's server monitoring will be absolutely free.
